A critical alert asks for ACK 48271. Nobody answers, so a reminder follows five minutes later. Dana replies ACK 48271 at 2:21 AM, the alert is acknowledged, and no further reminders are sent.

Recipients need iMessage turned on. Your regular address keeps sending SMS.

How billing works

  • Each recipient counts as one text. A long message that splits into several SMS segments counts as several.
  • MMS images and audio cost 10¢ extra each, on paid plans.
  • Monthly and Annual include 200 texts each month. Low Use credits carry over until used.
  • SMS goes to U.S. and Canadian numbers, for alerts and notifications only.
